Georgia Audubon's Learning About Birds (LAB) curriculum provides activities and materials to educators interested in exposing students to hands-on, interactive learning about birds, habitats, and conservation. The curriculum consists of English/Spanish color student guides and accompanying lesson plans. All units are aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards in science and other subjects. Some of the units below are available to download. We will we adding resources in the coming weeks. Please check back again soon!
A copy of the Learning About Birds curriculum is available to formal classroom teachers and informal educators by request. The curriculum may be picked up at our office or sent to you for $10 shipping/handling fee. Please apply for a Georgia Audubon Scholarship if the shipping/handling cost is a burden. Georgia Audubon also offers periodic professional development workshops for educators interested in using the Learning About Birds curriculum and teaching about birds.
