Georgia Urban Ecologists

Georgia Urban Ecologists is for youth in grades 8 through 12. This school-year long program will guide students in the discovery of the fascinating, rich ecology of Georgia, providing opportunities for hands-on field experiences and fun with their peers. Perfect for students interested in pursuing careers in science or conservation or those who just enjoy being outside in nature, the Georgia Urban Ecologists program provides students with opportunities to learn alongside experts in the field, as well as meaningful experiences in the outdoor places. Students will establish a network of environmental professionals who can assist with their academic and career development while having fun outdoors with their peers.
For the 2023/2024 school year, Georgia Audubon is delighted to offer Georgia Urban Ecologists in Atlanta, Athens/Clarke County, and in the Brunswick/Golden Isles area. Georgia Urban Ecologists II will again be offered in the Atlanta area for students who have already attended the first series.
Students who register after Oct. 1 may be eligible for pro-rated program fees. Need-based scholarships are available. Please apply for a Georgia Audubon Scholarship if cost is a burden.
If you have questions regarding the schedule or program, please email Melissa Paduani, Education Program Manager.
Registration for the Atlanta and Athens cohorts is now open. Registration for the Brunswick cohort will open soon!
